My training Philosopy

My passion and drive as a dog trainer is to help people and their dog connect and work together in a way that makes sense to both.  Communication seems like an easy solution, but sometimes finding the correct way to communicate with your dog can be difficult and frustrating.

I believe that clear communication and expectation are the keys to a fair and honest relationship for humans and their dogs. Being able to tell your dog what you want or like and having them understand are extremely valuable tools. So many times, we put an emotional understanding on our dogs without even considering how they take, understand and process information.  My passion is to help people find this connection and teach them to use it in the most effective way possible.

I use decades of knowledge and experience in addition to the basic science behind genetics to help guide you through this process with your dog. Dog training is not a one size fits all process. Dogs are individuals like us and they learn and process information differently. Sometimes genetics plays a part in who a dog is and why they do or react the way they do, sometimes reactions, behaviors and anxiety are learned through how we react to them.  I will help you to find understanding in your dog’s behavior and work to help you redirect and manage them through these issues.

I believe confidence and coping skills come from a dog understanding what you want, how to be right and how to give you focus.  To do this we teach a foundation of expectation and clear communication. My over all goal is to help you create a solid working relationship with your dog develop focus and create confidence for you both.
